Decca Wiper Systems are based in Norway, with the head office located nearby the city harbor of Bergen. The “Decca” name derives from the old and renowned company “Decca Trading” from many years back. In the 1970’s and 1980’s, Decca Trading supplied radar systems and other high-tech products for the marine industry. In the beginning of the 1990’s, the company was sold to Stend Metall who served both offshore and onshore industries. The combination of valuable experience with marine products, as well as strengthened engineering and construction resources lead to the first Decca straight line wiper prototype in 1992.
Decca wipers were manufactured by Stend Metall for 18 years until the Decca department was bought out by a new and financially independent company named Decca Wiper Systems.
